Scope

This standard specifies the test method for measuring the flame retardancy of conveyor belts by propane combustion method. This standard applies to fabric-core flame-retardant conveyor belts for underground mines covered with rubber, plastic or rubber-plastic blends, and also applies to fire-resistant conveyor belts with steel cord cores and wire rope traction flame-retardant conveyor belts for underground mines.
