This standard specifies the method for measuring the visibility of an operator seated in the driver's seat, the method for evaluating the quality of the measured visibility, and the evaluation criteria. The visibility measurement method is as follows: First, a visibility measurement light source is installed at the eye position of a seated operator, and the shadow of the machine produced by the light source is projected onto a visibility measurement circle set in advance on the ground around the machine. It measures the width and number of shadows on the measurement circle. This standard applies when the civil engineering machine is running on a work site or on a public road with the operator seated in a specified position, but does not apply when the work equipment is in operation.
