Scope

This standard specifies the stress calculation criteria for bolted circular pipe flanges (hereinafter referred to as flanges) that use ring gaskets made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, and the total load acting on the gasket surface when internal pressure is applied (hereinafter referred to as gasket reaction force). Calculation standards and standards for calculating the required gasket reaction force at design pressure are specified.
