Scope
1.1 These requirements covers nonreusable polyethylene container in sizes up to 5 gallons (19 L) intended for storage of flammable and combustible liquids in accordance with the Flammable and Combustabile Liquids Code, NFPA 30, except that containers for Class 1A flammable liquids shall not exceed 1 gallon (3.8 L). 1.2 Containers by these requirements are intended for use only with the specific type or types of closures that are evaluated with the containers. 1.3 The requirements do not cover containers for use with Class B poisons or other regulated materials. 1.4 These requirements do not cover containers for outdoor use. 1.5 These requirements do not include any investigation of the toxicity of the materials the containers are intended to store.
