Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the detergency of surfactants by gray card rating in decontamination test with artificially soiled cloth. This standard applies to the determination of the detergency of anionic and nonionic surfactants used in the printing and dyeing industry. It can be applied to the determination of the detergency of some cationic, amphoteric and complex surfactants.
