Scope

This standard specifies the selection and preparation of tower-shaped samples for testing steel hairlines, hairline inspection methods, presentation and evaluation of inspection results, and inspection reports, etc. This standard is applicable to the inspection of the number, length and distribution of hairlines in steel by acid leaching of tower-shaped samples.
