DIN 58940-3:1989 Medical microbiology; methods for the determination of susceptibility of pathogens (except mycobacteria) to antimicrobial agents; agar diffusion test
This standard specifies the determination of susceptibility of aerobic pathogenic bacteria by agar diffusion method. The examinations are to be excuted in a medical microbiological laboratory at least of type 2 according to DIN 58956 part 1. It is the purpose of this standard to ensure the comparison of test results from laboratory to laboratory (i.e. reproduction and repitition of test results), when using the agar diffusion method.#,,#
