Scope: This standard, as a supplement to GB12789.1-91 "Guidelines for Nuclear Reactor Instrumentation Part I: General Principles", specifies the general principles for fast reactor instrumentation and its application. This standard applies to liquid metal cooled fast reactors whose primary coolant is sodium or sodium and potassium alloys and other loop systems that use these liquid metals as coolants on the reactor. This standard does not apply to three-circuit systems that do not use liquid metal as a coolant.
