- This standard specifies methods and auxiliary means relating to sampling procedures for the monitoring of radioactivity in air for the purpose of controlling radioactive contamination. This involves in particular the sampling of airborne particles in plants handling radioactive materials and the sampling of exhaust air before this is released into the atmosphere.
