Scope: This standard specifies analog pneumatic signals used in industrial process measurement and control systems to transmit information between system components. This standard applies to: 　——pneumatic controllers; 　——pneumatic transmitters and pneumatic information transmission systems. This standard does not apply to analog pneumatic signals intended for internal use only within system components. This standard aims to establish: 　——the standard working pressure range of pneumatic information transmission systems; 　——the standard air source pressure when pneumatic controllers and transmitters, pneumatic information transmission systems, current-pressure converters and similar devices are working (stipulations limit).
