- This standard specifies the test methods for the apparent (bulk) density of foamed plastics and rubber. This standard applies to the determination of the apparent total density and apparent core density of rigid foamed plastics, semi-rigid, flexible foamed plastics and rubber bulk density. This standard also applies to the determination of the apparent overall density and the apparent core density of foamed materials that form the skin during molding.
