Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, nomenclature, type tests, test methods, packaging, marks and labels of insulating resins used in power cable accessories. This document applies to insulating resins for power cable accessories. Material conforming to the requirements of this document, meeting a confirmed performance level. However, in a specific application, the user selects materials based on the specific performance requirements required in the actual application, not just based on this document. The material in this document is used in low- and medium-voltage cable accessories, so its electrical performance has been verified as part of the assembly. Corresponding examples are compiled in EN50393 and IEC60502 4 .
