This Standard covers the test methods and performancerequirements applicable to water heater reliefvalve drain (or runoff) tubes for use with listed reliefvalves having a steam rating of 100,OOO Btu per hour(Btuh) or less.This Standard shall serve as a uniform reference documentfor use by manufacturers, inspectors, contractors,and installers to identify criteria applicable to waterheater relief valve drain tubes.
