- This document specifies specimens, crevice components and assemblies, and documentation for crevice corrosion testing of stainless steel flat or tubular specimens in corrosive solutions. This document does not specify how to conduct crevice corrosion tests and how to evaluate corrosion test results. This document applies to disc spring crevice corrosion configurations for stainless steel flat or tubular specimens. If the specimen is designed for electrical connection, the crevice corrosion configuration specified in this document can also be used for electrochemical measurements.
