Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Technical indicators GB6220-2009 GB6220-2023
Mask type Only tight type New open type mask and air supply hood
Leakage rate requirement Full mask≤0.05% Graded control (half mask 0.5%/full mask 0.05%)
Test items 7 items 11 new tests for breathing tubes, air supply tubes, etc.

Analysis of key technical requirements

1. Material safety

Standard 5.1.2 clearly requires that aluminum-magnesium-titanium alloy parts used in explosive environments must be coated, and manufacturers must provide risk assessment statements. A typical case shows that a petrochemical company caused an electrostatic accident due to the failure to use a coated respirator.

2. Structural design breakthrough

New flow control valve automatic locking function (5.13) to ensure that the minimum air supply of 95L/min (closed type) or 120L/min (open type) is maintained in the event of accidental adjustment. Test data shows that this design can reduce the risk of insufficient air supply caused by misoperation by 72%.

Test method upgrade

Leakage rate test (6.5)

The dynamic action combination test method is adopted, including 5 working conditions such as static, turning head, and speaking, which is closer to the actual working scene. A comparative test by a certain testing agency shows that the new method can detect a leakage rate 15%-20% higher than the old standard.

Air supply pipe performance (6.9)

Three new key tests:
- Anti-kink test: The flow attenuation of the low-pressure pipe at a right angle bend is ≤50%
- Extrusion resistance test: The medium-pressure pipe withstands a radial force of 1000N
- Heat resistance test: No failure after contact with a 130℃ hot plate for 15 minutes

Implementation recommendations

  1. Purchase verification: Check whether the air supply pipe is marked with heat-resistant (H)/anti-static (S)/flame-retardant (F) labels (7.2)
  2. Training: Focus on training the operation of the conversion device (5.20) and the low-pressure warning device (5.19.6)
  3. Maintenance points: Establish a regular cleaning and disinfection system according to 5.21 requirements, and prohibit the use of corrosive solvents
