- This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of combined sound and light signals for mining. This standard is applicable to mine-used sound and light combined annunciators (hereinafter referred to as annunciators) for carrier intercom communications or for sending dot (i.e., ringing) signals in workplaces containing coal dust and explosive gases in underground coal mines, working surfaces at different locations.
