- This part of T/ZZB 1554 specifies the model, materials, technical requirements, testing, acceptance rules, shipping, storage and transportation of cross-linked polyethylene insulated long-length AC submarine cables with a rated voltage of 500 kV (Um=550 kV). This section applies to single-core cross-linked polyethylene insulated and optical fiber composite cross-linked polyethylene insulated long-length submarine cables with a rated voltage of 500kV (Um=550 kV) used under submarine laying and operating conditions. Note: The scope of approval of long-length submarine cables and accessories that comply with the provisions of this part and pass the test methods and requirements of this part can cover submarine cables with shorter lengths than those defined in 3.7 long length in T/ZZB 1554.1-2020. This section does not apply to dynamic submarine cables used on floating offshore platforms.
