- This document specifies the requirements for data communication (including information exchange and data exchange supported by network communication) of clinical medical imaging equipment, and in the network, how clinical medical imaging equipment communicates using the application layer, presentation layer, and session layer in the OSI network . This document applies to the communication between clinical medical imaging equipment with digital medical imaging interface and medical image storage and archiving system.
