- This document specifies the monitoring principles and methods, monitoring instruments, monitoring conditions, monitoring procedures, monitoring structure evaluation, monitoring records and reports, and abnormal situation handling for the piezoelectric impedance monitoring method of metal structure cracks of gantry cranes. This document is applicable to gantry cranes working in general environments. It is not applicable to gantry cranes used in environments with flammable and explosive gases, dust, corrosive gases, nuclear radiation, and toxic gases. Piezoelectric impedance monitoring of crack damage in metal structures of other types of lifting machinery can be performed with reference to this document.
