Scope

This document specifies the phased array ultrasonic testing and defect assessment methods for in-service generator guard rings. This document is applicable to phased array ultrasonic testing of non-magnetic guard rings of Mn18Cr18N and Mn18Cr5 series generators in service. Phased array ultrasonic testing of non-magnetic guard rings of other generators in service can be performed with reference to this document.
