Scope

This standard specifies the inspection items, requirements and inspection methods for image quality assurance of medical X-ray computerized tomography equipment (X-ay equipment for computedtomography, hereinafter referred to as CT machine). This standard is applicable to the acceptance test of CT machines and the state test and stability test of CT machines in use. This standard does not apply to the quality control in the production of CT machines and the image hard copy system used in conjunction with CT machines.
