- This standard specifies a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls in solid waste and its leachate. This standard is applicable to the determination of 18 polychlorinated biphenyls in solid waste and its leachate. If verified, this standard is also applicable to the determination of other PCB congeners. When the solid waste sampling volume is 20g and the fixed volume is 1.0ml, the detection limit of the 18 polychlorinated biphenyls is 2 to 3 μg/kg, and the lower determination limit is 8 to 12 μg/kg; the solid waste leaching liquid volume is 300 ml, and the fixed volume is 1.0 ml. When the volume is 1.0ml, the detection limit of the method is 0.08~0.2μg/L, and the lower limit of determination is 0.32~0.8μg/L. See Appendix A for details.
