This standard establishes a method for determining the average temperature coefficient of linear expansion (TCLE) of solid samples of heat-resistant (including composite) materials used in space systems (or in other technical fields), in specified temperature ranges from 293 to 3073 K using an optical measuring instrument dilatometer, or on the necessary set of measuring and auxiliary equipment. The standard applies to heat-protective and other solid heat-resistant composite materials (non-decomposing (stable) in the temperature range under study)
