- This standard specifies the definition, classification, rating conditions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and quality commitment requirements of thermal expansion valves for automotive air conditioners. This standard applies to thermal expansion valves for automotive air conditioners (hereinafter referred to as "expansion valves") with a rated cooling capacity not exceeding 36 kW and using refrigerant HFC-134a/HFO-1234yf.
