Scope
This document specifies the hygroscopic water corrected gravimetric method for the determination of loss on ignition in iron ore. This document is applicable to natural iron ore, iron concentrate and artificial lump iron ore, measurement range (mass fraction): 1.0%~10.0%. The following do not apply to this document: a) processed iron ore containing metallic iron (direct reduced iron); b) natural or processed iron ore with a sulfur content exceeding 0,2 %;
