This standard establishes a method for measuring the volume and mass fraction of water in an oil-gas-water mixture using a combined method, implemented through laboratory methods for quantitative determination of the volume and mass fraction of water in degassed oil. This standard is applicable for oil and gas mixtures with a volume (mass) fraction of water from 10 to 98%. The measurement methodology set out in this standard is certified and registered in the unified register of measurement methods of the Federal Information Foundation for Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements. This standard is applicable in the case of unstable oil-water emulsions, when a selected demulsifier for an oil-gas-water mixture of a specific physical and chemical composition allows, after thermostatting and settling the sample, to obtain the remaining oil for further measurements with a suspended water content of no more than 10% of the volume fraction of water
