Scope: This document describes how ERP systems or third-party systems exchange information with metering systems in utility business applications. In particular, this technical specification covers the mapping between CIM-based ERP or third-party system information exchange messages and DLMS/COSEM-based metering systems. A typical metering system will consist of a Head-End System (HES) and some end equipment such as (energy) meters as well as rate and load control equipment. There may be intermediate devices in the metering system, such as NNAP (Community Network Access Point) and LNAP (Local Network Access Point) described in the smart metering system of IEC62056-10. These intermediate devices are outside the scope of this technical specification. The Read ingType, EndDev ic eCon tro lType and EndDev ic eEventType codes of the CIM specified in IEC61968 9 are mapped to the OBIS (Object Identification System) codes specified in IEC62056 6 1 . Sometimes the structure of CIM model and COSEM model is different, in this case, it is impossible to provide a one-to-one mapping between OBIS codes and CIM data type codes. At this time, perform this mapping between CIMUML (Unified Modeling Language) object attributes and COSEM object attributes (see 4.3.4 UC3).
