- This document specifies the terms and definitions, specimens, test conditions, test procedures, result expression and test reports for axial force controlled fatigue testing of thin steel plates for automobiles at room temperature (without introducing stress concentration). This document is applicable to the fatigue test of automotive thin steel plates (excluding notched specimens) with a thickness not greater than 3.0mm (minimum specimen thickness 0.5mm) subjected to any type of constant load axial cyclic stress amplitude shown in Figure 1.
