- Scope
- Applies to tempered glass combined with other materials to increase its strength to reduce the risk of injury when the glass is cracked or broken by thrown objects or fragments. This standard specifies the requirements for safety glass, intended to be installed primarily on doors and to be used for adjacent glass panels and especially for glass doors in interior and exterior corridors, for storm doors (combined), cross doors, shower and bathtub doors and panels.
