This document specifies the seismic testing of photovoltaic cabinets and racks complying with the IEC 60917 (all parts) and IEC 60297 (all parts) series. This document only applies to empty cabinets, that is, it does not apply to cabinets or racks with seismic isolation structures, nor to external or internal seismic isolation structures. The purpose of this document is to provide test conditions and criteria as a reference for evaluating the ability of a cabinet or rack mechanical structure to withstand specified seismic intensities. To this end, this document specifies specimen conditions such as cabinet and rack dimensions (i.e. height, width and depth), load distribution, structural test conditions and RRS (required response spectrum) for uniaxial or triaxial acceleration as seismic Test waveform conditions, you can choose uniaxial or triaxial testing.
