Scope

This part of GB/T20888 specifies the design and structural aspects of a pole-type backpack power pruning saw (hereinafter referred to as "knapsack pruning saw") with a backpack power device and the power source transmits power to the cutting component through a transmission shaft. Safety requirements and test methods. The cutting components in this section refer to the saw chain and the saw blade that performs reciprocating or rotating motion. This section proposes methods to eliminate or reduce various hazards caused by the use of backpack pruning saws, and stipulates the information requirements for safe operation provided by the manufacturer. This section and the relevant chapters of Part 1 of GB/T 20888 cover all serious hazards associated with backpack pruning saws during normal use and reasonable and foreseeable misuse, but do not cover electric shock caused by contact with overhead cables. Hazards (other than warnings and recommendations contained in the instruction manual) and whole-body vibration hazards caused by backpack power units. Note 1: There is currently no standard test procedure for measuring whole-body vibration caused by backpack power units. Note 2: See Appendix A for a list of serious hazards. This section applies to products produced after its implementation.
