This standard specifies the technical specifications for shared self-service passenger processing platforms at civil airports. This standard allows multiple airlines to share a physical locker to provide passengers with self-service. These services include, but are not limited to, check-in functions. The standard also allows airlines to develop CUSS-compliant airline applications that can run on any cabinet that is compatible with the CUSS platform. This standard applies to public areas of civil airports (including areas used by civil aviation passengers in joint-military and civilian airports).
