This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of 2,3-dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine for industrial use. This document applies to 2,3-dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine produced by chlorination and fluorination processes using 2-chloro-5-chloromethylpyridine as raw material. 2,3-Dichloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine is widely used as an important raw material or intermediate in the preparation of fine chemical products such as pesticides and medicines. It is mainly used for: insecticides such as diflufenuron, fluflubenzuron and fungicides. The preparation of fluazinam, fluopicolin, etc. can also be used to synthesize the herbicide fluopiofen (Gaicaoneng).
