- This document describes a method for the determination of the fogging properties of rubber or plastic coated fabrics used in automotive interior trim materials. This document is also applicable to interior materials made of liquid, paste, powder or solid natural materials, as well as other materials and finished products with anti-fogging requirements. This document applies to the determination of the minimum fogging properties of internal glass surfaces. This test method is not applicable or cannot accurately determine the following conditions: - low surface tension of condensate, resulting in early formation of thin transparent film; (Thick films produce false readings). In this case, the mass method is preferred.
