Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, identification, characteristics, scope of application, selection, wiring design principles, selection of supporting hardware and towers, and construction, operation and maintenance precautions for composite core overhead conductors. This standard applies to composite core overhead conductors used in 35kV ~ 220kV AC overhead transmission lines. Reference can be made to the use of composite core overhead conductors at other voltage levels.
