Scope

This standard is applicable to the detection of fully fusion welded joints of ferritic steel pressure-bearing equipment with a wall thickness of 3.5 mm to 200 mm. It is also applicable to the ultrasonic phased array detection of welded joints of pressure-bearing equipment in service. This standard does not apply to ultrasonic phased array testing of welded joints of austenitic steel pressure equipment
