- This standard specifies the use conditions, ratings, basic requirements, technical requirements, type testing, factory testing, selection guidelines, provision of information, as well as transportation, storage, installation, operation and maintenance of high-voltage AC circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) regulations, safety, environmental impact of products and quality commitments. This standard applies to high-voltage AC circuit breakers with a rated voltage of 12 kV to 40.5 kV, installed indoors or outdoors, and a rated frequency of 50 Hz.
