Scope

This document specifies the technique for manual ultrasonic inspection of claddings formed by welding, rolling, and blasting with steel as the base material using single or dual element transducers. This document applies to the detection of planar or volumetric discontinuities in coatings and interfaces. This document does not specify the terms of acceptance, nor does it define the scope of testing.
