Scope
This document stipulates the application range, pressure assessment method and classification of the product according to the application method of the product, the type of joint and resin matrix, and the restrictions on the structure and size of the materials used. This document also specifies terms, definitions and symbols to provide guidance for other parts of GB/T 29165. GB/T29165 (all parts) is applicable to glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) piping system, the joints used in this system can resist the axial thrust caused by internal pressure, temperature change and fluid power, and the system design envelope is trapezoidal . GB/T 29165 (all parts) is mainly applicable to offshore fixed and floating platforms, and can also be used for other similar applications on land, such as the specification, manufacture, test and installation of GRP piping systems for produced water, fire-fighting water systems and general industrial purposes . Since floating platforms allow the use of alternative codes and standards for GRP piping associated with ships and/or ballast systems, refer to the hull or vessel design, construction and certification standards for floating platforms. However, it is recommended to use GB/T 29165 (all parts) as much as possible. Publication GB/T 29165 (all parts) can also be used as a general foundation specification for pump caissons, silencers, I-beams, seawater risers and other similar structural pipes. Typical applications of quasi-exit GRP pipelines in the oil and gas industry are shown in Table 1.
