GB/T 15278-1994
Scope
This standard applies to systems that encrypt ADP information in the data communication physical layer. This standard applies equally whether the data encryption equipment (DEE) is implemented as a physically separate device, as data terminal equipment (DTE) or as part of data circuit terminating equipment (DCE). When the encryption part is integrated into the DTE or DCE, this standard applies to those parts of the DTE or DCE design that implement the requirements of this standard. The interoperability requirements of this standard are defined for the following physical interfaces: GB 3454, GB 11592, GB 11593, GB 11599 and GB 11600. The physical layer is described in GB 9387. In physical layer encryption, all SDUs (Service Data Units) are usually encrypted. The interoperability requirements described in this standard apply to both synchronous and asynchronous operations in both full-duplex and half-duplex modes. The text of this standard specifies the requirements applicable to the use of various encryption algorithms. Appendix B (Reference) illustrates the additional requirements for using a 64bix block cipher algorithm. This standard specifies two options for synchronous operations: the delayed option and the immediate option, which are mutually incompatible. This standard also specifies two optional actions for asynchronous operation interruption (BREAK): Type A and Type B, and these two actions are mutually incompatible.
