- This standard specifies the quantitative method for the determination of solvent extractables in rubber. This standard applies to the following vulcanized rubbers and their blends: natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, oil-extended styrene-butadiene rubber, neoprene, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, and ethylene-propylene rubber. This standard is also applicable to the above-mentioned raw rubber and mixed rubber except ethylene-propylene rubber.
