- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, reliability test and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ordinary automatic telephones. This standard applies to rotary dial telephones, impulse key telephones and dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) key telephones. Other hand-held telephones connected to the public telephone network, such as common power, recording, hands-free, speakerphones, etc., can also be used as a reference.
