- This standard applies to all types of resistive potentiometers used in electronic equipment, including screw-driven, preset, multi-turn potentiometers, etc. This standard specifies the standard terminology, inspection procedures and test methods used in the sub-specifications and detailed specifications for the quality assessment system and qualification approval of electronic components. The test methods specified in this standard are mainly abbreviated according to the widely used single-turn rotary potentiometer with control shaft. For other types of potentiometers: --The rotation angle may be multi-turn; --The control axis referred to should also be applicable to other driving mechanisms; --The rotation angle should be understood as representing the mechanical stroke of the driving mechanism.
