This standard includes four methods for determining the susceptibility to intergranular corrosion of nickel-based alloys, method A: iron sulfate (Ⅲ)-sulfuric acid test; method B: copper-copper sulfate-16% sulfuric acid test; method C: hydrochloric acid test; method D: Nitric acid test. The standard stipulates the preparation of the sample, the sensitization of the sample, the test equipment, the scope of application, the test solution, the test procedure and the evaluation of the test results. This standard applies to nickel-based alloys used in corrosive environments. The selection of the four methods, the processing system of the alloy and the criterion of the result are negotiated by the supplier and the buyer of the alloy.
