Scope

This standard specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, test procedures and precautions for partial discharge. This test method is applicable to the measurement of partial discharge of extruded insulation power cables of different lengths, that is, to measure the discharge of the cable under the specified voltage and given sensitivity or to check whether the discharge exceeds the specified value. The general requirements and definitions of electrical performance tests of wires and cables and the requirements for periodic calibration of test equipment are specified in GB/T3048.1.
