Scope

This standard specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, test results and evaluation of the spark test for extruded corrosion protection sheaths. This standard is applicable to test the tightness of the anti-corrosion sheath extruded outside the metal sheath or metal armor layer. The general requirements and definitions of electrical performance tests of wires and cables and the requirements for periodic calibration of test equipment are specified in GB/T3048.1.
