Scope: This document specifies the design basis, design principles, payload classification, general payload design and verification requirements for space station application payloads. This document applies to the design and verification of payloads for applications inside and outside the space station. The payloads that go up with the cargo spacecraft or manned spacecraft, the payloads that go down with the manned spacecraft, and the payloads that carry out on-orbit experiments (tests) on cargo spacecraft, manned spacecraft, and cargo airlocks can be used by reference.
