This document specifies the test principle, validity and interference, test specimen, test solution, test device, test procedure, result evaluation, factors affecting reproducibility and test report of full immersion accelerated exfoliation corrosion of aluminum alloys in the process of research and development and quality control . This document is applicable to the tests of rolled semi-finished deformed aluminum alloys, parts produced by conventional casting metallurgy and powder metallurgy processes, and aluminum matrix composites produced by mechanical alloying. This document is also applicable to the testing of aluminum ingots and cast aluminum alloys in the presence of oriented structures such as columnar grains or lath segregation. The test results obtained by using this document are mainly applicable to the study of exfoliation corrosion tendency in alloy research and development, and are not suitable as an absolute criterion for exfoliation corrosion resistance. When the test is used for production control of exfoliation corrosion-resistant materials, relevant parties shall negotiate on acceptable performance indicators.
