Scope

This standard applies to the determination of the alkalinity of tea water-soluble ash. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO1578-1975 "Tea - Determination of Alkalinity of Water-Soluble Ash". The alkalinity of water-soluble ash is the amount of acid required to neutralize the total ash leachate under specified conditions, or the amount of alkali equivalent to the acid amount.
