- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural types and parameters, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transportation, and quality commitment of fully welded ball valves used in pipeline transportation systems in the oil and natural gas industry. This standard is applicable to fully welded ball valves with nominal pressures PN16 to PN160 or Class 150 to Class 900, nominal sizes DN50 to DN1500 or NPS2 to NPS60, and the transmission media are crude oil, refined oil and natural gas, and flange connections and welded connections for pipeline transportation systems (referred to as Fully welded ball valve).
